Several years ago, I received a necklace as a gift from a family member that I decided to turn into a bracelet. I was so thrilled with the results that I found myself scouring antique shops and flea markets for more pieces that inspired me. I was especially drawn to vintage components with rich and interesting historic relavence. For example, I was fortunate to find several rare French steel cut shoe clips from the late 1880s that I transformed into bracelets. I was drawn to shoe clips because of their beauty as well as my strong interest in history and the past. I have always been intrigued by events of the past and how they have influenced us. Each vintage piece appeals to my imagination in a unique way.
I want all of my designs to be enjoyed by their owners and worn for years to come. Therefore, I strive to create unique pieces that are versatile in function and style. By increasing the versatility of a design, I provide more opportunities for my clients to wear their jewelry. Often, I create pieces that can be worn in multiple ways, such as a necklace that can be transformed into a bracelet. I also design many necklaces that have adjustable lengths, can be worn as one strand or two and easily layered. I absolutely love when clients tell me that one of my designs has become an essential part of their daily wardrobe because they can wear it on every occasion!
My passion lies in working one-on-one with clients to create the “perfect” piece of jewelry. My approach is to combine your personality with my vision to create a piece that complements your lifestyle, your personal style and your unique qualities. I love to get to know my clients and connect with them in order to have a deep understanding of their aesthetic and desires. Nothing gives me more pleasure than working with clients to create a completely unique design they'll cherish for years to come and pass on to their loved ones.
